Recreation and Facilities Attendant 2 Temporary Full-Time (Maternity Leave)

The City of Trail is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill a Temporary Full-Time Recreation and Facilities Attendant 2 position in the Parks and Recreation Department.  This position is expected to extend until April 2020 with a possibility of extension on a week to week basis thereafter. 

The Recreation and Facilities Attendant 2 participates in the operation, cleaning and maintenance of the City’s parks and recreational facilities and requires excellent customer service skills along with an aptitude for janitorial, maintenance and event set-up duties.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Refrigeration Operator certification, or equivalent, as recognized under the BC Pressure Vessels and Boilers Act
  • Pool Operator Level I and II certification
  • Ice Making (RFABC) certification
  • Occupational First Aid, Level I with CPR/AED
  • Valid BC Driver’s License

This position is within the CUPE Local 2087 Bargaining Unit and will involve evening and weekend work with possible days off during weekdays.  Wages and benefits are as per the Collective Agreement.

This position is to address a one-year maternity leave.  The estimated start date of the leave is April 1, 2019.
