Head Lifeguard/Instructor (Permanent Full-Time)

The City of Trail is seeking a qualified individual to fill the full-time position of Head Lifeguard / Instructor at the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre.

The Head Lifeguard/Instructor assists the Aquatic Coordinator in providing lifeguarding and instructional services, preventative maintenance services and Aquatic Centre programs, administrative duties and special events.  This position will be responsible for on-deck supervision of programs and staff, in the absence of the Aquatic Coordinator, to ensure quality and consistency of program delivery and lifeguarding.  Additional responsibilities include training and development of all lifeguarding/waterslide staff, as well as on-deck lifeguarding and program instruction as required.

This position is within the CUPE Local 2087 Bargaining Unit.  The hourly wage for this position is $25.45 (2019 rate) with benefits as per the Collective Agreement.
