Downtown revitalization, economic development and infrastructure improvements are just some of the key components that are leading Trail to a successful and sustainable future.

  • The Victoria Street Bridge Lighting Project, initiated by the Downtown Opportunities & Action Committee (DOAC), is one of the many initiatives that contribute to major visual enhancements to downtown and Trail's riverfront.
  • In 2016, 104 programmable colour-changing LED lights were installed along the eight arches of the Victoria Street Bridge to create an inviting and visually exciting environment.
  • These lights are illuminated every night and can also be creatively sequenced for special City-hosted celebrations, recognized holidays, nonprofit fundraising events, proclamations, and health promotion and awareness events recognized by the provincial and federal governments.
  • Please send all bridge lighting requests and any decorative bridge lighting outages to communications@trail.ca or call the Communications & Events Coordinator at 250-364-0834.

Thank you, sponsors!

  • The DOAC and the City received generous contributions from major and Buy-a-Light sponsors to help bring this project to fruition. Sponsors, thank you for your support.

  • The sponsor plaques are located on the west side of the bridge, along the Esplanade at the end of Eldorado Street.
