City Facility COVID-19 Safety Plans
- WorkSafe BC requires the COVID-19 safety plans to be publicly available for City facilities. Please use the links below to view these plans
Key points for City Facilities and Amenities
- Enhanced protocols and sufficient distancing will be in place - Re-Opening in phases does not mean we will be back to the way things were before the COVID-19 pandemic. Preventative measures will still be in place. These measures will be posted at all sites as appropriate.
- Not every amenity and service at this time – We still need to be cautious. If our enhanced protocols don’t work for certain buildings, spaces, or services, we will hold off until it is safe to re-open.
- Do your part. We can’t go backwards now, we’ve worked too hard - We commend all of you for your hard work and sacrifices over the last several months. We ask that you continue to follow all recommended preventative measures and adhere to any restrictions noted by the City and the Province of BC. And, please be supportive and courteous so we can continue to protect everyone in our community.
COVID-19 Resources and Information
The City of Trail continues to follow all recommendations advanced by the Federal Government, the Provincial Government, the Provincial Health Officer and Interior Health as part of protecting the health and safety of the community. The City of Trail encourages all residents to take necessary precautions and to consult with credible websites for ongoing updates.
If you think you may have come into contact with COVID-19 or are showing symptoms, CALL 8-1-1 FOR ADVICE.
BC Parks
Hiking and biking trails
- The Kootenay Columbia Trails Society (KCTS) has installed signs at trailheads to remind users of the COVID-19 preventative measures in place. Please familiarize yourself with these regulations before using the trails so our communities can remain safe and healthy.
- For additional information or questions related to the trails, please contact KCTS directly at information@kcts.ca. View more info on their website at www.kcts.ca
Open burning restrictions
- Open burning is not permitted within the City of Trail.
- Effective noon (Pacific time) on Thursday, April 16, 2020, most open burning activities will be prohibited throughout British Columbia. Please see www2.gov.bc.ca for more information.
