Fitness Centre – Age Requirement

Patrons over the age of 16 years of age are able to enjoy access to the fitness centre. Patrons 14 years of age can participate in a “Teen Get Fit” program to allow them to use the fitness centre on their own.

Fitness Centre Shoe Policy

If you are coming to use the fitness facility at the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre, please ensure you have a clean, indoor pair of athletic shoes available to present to the cashier upon entry to the building.

Pool Use - Children 6 years and Under

Children 6 years and under must be accompanied by a swimming adult in the water. They must be within arm's reach of a parent or guardian, 16years of age or older, at all times. Ratio of children 6 years or under to parent or guardian must be no greater than 3 to 1. Children who are not yet toilet trained are required to wear either a pool diaper or cloth diaper and plastic pants.

Pool Hot Spot Areas

Children, 12 years and under, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (16 years or older) in the hot tub and steam room. For the enjoyment and safety of all, please abide by the policy and guidelines posted.

Pool Bathing Attire

All patrons are expected to wear appropriate swimming attire. "Cut-offs" and under-garments worn underneath swimming suits/shorts are not acceptable. Non-toilet trained children must wear pool diapers. Please remove disposable diapers and place your child in either aquatic diapers (gabby’s) or cloth diapers and plastic pants.

Waterslide Rules

Waterslide rules are a requirement by the Safety Standards Act for Elevating Devices which states that facilities operating an elevating device, such as a waterslide, are required to operate it based on the manufacturer’s specifications. The full list of manufacturer’s usage requirements are posted at the waterslide. For our younger patrons, please note there is a minimum height requirement of 48” to ride the waterslide.
